Today is Charlie's debut on the blog...

Check out a few of her favorite images from her Allerton Park session. I love sessions at Allerton and it's a popular selection for seniors, children, couples and families. There's so much variety within the park that often I try to use spaces you may not have immediately thought of when selecting Allerton as your session location. Of course the greenhouse, mansion, lake and sunken garden (complete with white gates) are iconic I also like to venture outside the box. This first image of Charlie in the chair was taken the opposite side of one parking lot headed away from the park. Basically behind a maintenance building ... an area still open to the public but one far less traveled so we found tall grasses, beautiful light, open spaces and even some flowers along a brush path.

It's always my goal to create the beauty and consistency you expect but with a little bit of the unexpected on your session too. We want images (and an experience) that are memorable. I want you to laugh when you look at an image in 10 years and say 'remember when she asked you to stand on that chair in the middle of the weeds?' or 'can you believe that was the flowerbed in the parking lot' or (actually happened on another session) 'guess what that backdrop is.... it's for real a dumpster!!!'.
