Albums, magazines, frames and metals, oh my!
What to do with your latest (or ALL) your family's portraits these days... it can be overwhelming. When I have new clients I very often hear that they've never printed images from their last session. Or that their oldest's senior portraits are on a disk somewhere (remember those!?!?) and they really meant to print them but it just never got done. I get it! There's never any judgement from me because it IS overwhelming to sit down and make selections on your own. Doubt of if this will even look good start to creep in and then we end up just not printing a thing.
Plus, what size should you hang above the couch? Is there an option that will look good now but allow for growth overtime as your younger children grow/graduate? What finish matches your decor the best?
These are all questions I'm here to help you answer and we don't just start at the end... no, we start planning and answering these questions BEFORE the session. At your planning call we'll chat a bit about your home, your past sessions, what you hope to FEEL most from your portraits (really, do you want them to make you giggle on a bad day or swell your heart with pride when friends and family come visit?). What color walls, moldings, trim, furniture surround your home?
We talk through all of these details so I can help design a session that fits the vibe of your space and your family's personality. And then, after we've created your images we work together again to finalize your choices - not only selecting favorite images but also selecting the ways to best showcase and share them. While this is often on your walls, it's not always and not ONLY for your walls. Albums, magazines and image boxes are here to create pieces that will be the legacy of your family for generations to come. Cards and unique gifts (like our brass desk calendar and glass portraits) help us share images in unique and delightful ways. And, of course, digital images which are always delivered in our legacy galleries, which never expire and grow with the addition of all future sessions to give you one place where you can always find and access your images.
